WAIT FOR GOD |
|

HIS SEVERE
COUGHING attracted my attention.

Mrs. Hance was
still talking to another patient, so I slipped behind
the curtain to his part of the hospital room.

It was
hard to tell his age, for the marks of sickness had
scarred his appearance.
“Do you know Jesus?”
I quietly asked. The only reply was a solemn look from
eyes that were expressing inner hopelessness. I learned
that he was dying of cancer.
I wanted to reach
him, but what could I say? A feeling of helplessness
overwhelmed me. Then, coming to my rescue, the Holy
Spirit whispered so sweetly, “I am with you.”
Suddenly the man’s eyes were filled
with tears. The Holy Spirit was indeed at work. I
hastened to tell him of the love of God, and of Jesus
who died for his sins, and of heaven, which he could
gain. I sensed my words being directed by the Spirit.
When I would have
asked him to surrender to the Lord, my faith waned. My
human reasoning said, “He’s not ready; you didn’t reach
him,” and I yielded to my doubts. I stood and was going
to leave. Unknown to me, the angels in heaven were
getting ready to rejoice!
One l ast
weak strain of faith rose up inside me. I took his hand
in mine, lingering for some possible miracle to take
place. I told him I would be praying for him.
Then my heart almost leaped for joy when I detected a
slight evidence of having reached his soul. He squeezed
my hand and would not let go. Quickly I seized the
opportunity.
“Will you let Jesus
come into your heart and save you now?”
With
a weak and frail voice, he whispered a victorious,
“Yes!” The hospital bed became a sacred altar, and a
soul was born into the kingdom of God. The angels and I
rejoiced together!
A week later I went
to see him again, but I was sent away. He had died the
day before. How glad I was to know that when he passed
on to eternity, he had a home with Jesus.

Then I thought, “What
if I had left him too soon? What if I had not waited for
God to work?”
It always pays to
wait for God!

THE
PROMISE
2
Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my
name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my
face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I
hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and
will heal their land.

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of
God, and his righteousness; and all these things
shall be added unto you.
James 4:14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the
morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour,
that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth
away.
Psalm 90:12 ¶ So teach us to number our days, that
we may apply our hearts unto wisdom
What a blessing it is to know that: The LORD
will perfect that which concerneth me... ( Psalm
138:8)

The burden of our heart is
"Oh,
Lord...Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?
Psalm
85:6
How often we have
prayed, "Do it again, Lord!" Well, we are happy to report that HE
IS doing it again, in individuals, and churches that are hungry for more
of God! Revival will
encourage the discouraged pastor and bring new life to a dying church.
Some are ready to give up, feeling no fire in their own souls, and
seeing no stirring in their congregation.

Oh the joy
to see new commitments, to see hands raised, and voices genuinely worshipping, to see weeping at
the altar again, to see the lost coming down that aisle and getting
saved, receiving the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, to see healings and
deliverances in Jesus' name. That is what God wants for His
church.

Lord, send a
revival And let it start in me. What we need most Is the Holy Ghost, And the Holy Ghost Is free.
Here's My cup, Fill it up As full as it can be. Lord send a revival And let it start in me! |

IT IS GOD'S WILL
TO REVIVE THE SPIRIT AND HEART OF HUMBLE AND CONTRITE PEOPLE _______
Isa 57:15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. |

Revival
often
begins with an awesome sense of dissatisfaction with
yourself, and a realization of need
for more of God. |

FOR REVIVAL,
FOR A FRESH STIRRING AND OUTPOURING OF PENTECOSTAL POWER IN
YOUR LIFE, IN YOUR CHURCH, IN YOUR FAMILY??
It is the will of
God to do it, and He will do it if you earnestly seek the Lord in prayer.
