AUGUST 16-18 , 2011 - OZARK HOLINESS CAMP, MOUNTAIN VIEW, MISSOURI
It is amazing to discover what is flourishing down the end of some dusty roads. My husband had been to this campground previously, but it was my first time and I was impressed and blessed. Ozark Holiness Camp is a bright light in an ever increasing spiritual drought that has flooded the religious world. How refreshing were the springs of living water that flowed down from heaven above. When our "Red Salsa" Equinox drove onto the campground, we were already excited about what the Lord would do.
This lovely campground includes a tabernacle, dining hall, snack store, dormitories, individual cottage rooms, and more. We appreciated the room and meals provided for us. It didn't take long to find out who our neighbors were... Pastor and Sister Adams from Batesville, Arkansas. It was great to see them again.
It was a great time of fellowship and refreshing with some of our good friends and with many new friends. It was good to see Dwain and Brenda Galiher, Jason and Melissa Heath, and their daughter. We were glad to also see Mark and Lisa Hudson, Anthony Woods, Joey and Tricia Hight, Brother and Sister Joe Bean, Brother Shawn Stevens, Brother Tracy Holden, and so many more.
Evangelist Brent Gabbard preached powerfully each night. His message on "Faith To Worship" took us on the mountain with Abraham where we understood that faith has a logic that hell cannot fathom. Brother Mike Maxon,Sr., Brother Goodwin, and several other preachers, ministered in the morning services, and God moved by His Spirit. Brother Ronnie Cooper from Morrow, Arkansas preached a tremendous message on "The Servant That Was left Behind." It was an attention-grabbing experience to hear Brother Maxon, Sr. preach with his many unique expressions and descriptions. For example: "Did you hear about the church where everybody in it had cancer? "Will you sing tonight?" "No, I Can't Sir!" Will you visit the sick?" "No, I can't sir!" It didn't take long to get his point!
Campmeeting is a special time to draw closer to the Lord. People came from many areas and went away with the touch of the Lord. We were blessed by the good spiritual singing of several groups.
OZARK HOLINESS CAMP KEEP ON THE UPWARD ROAD, THE FIRING LINE FOR THE LORD! I still have one question: Where is the mountain in Mountain View? |
